Cabinets Care
Kitchen cabinets should be dusted or cleaned periodically like any wood furniture, and should require minimal maintenance.
Use a lightly damp cloth to dust the cabinets, following the grain of the wood when dusting as wiping across the grain can cause scratches.
Clean all spills or water immediately, as the grease and steam produced during cooking will cake the dust onto cabinet surfaces, making it harder to clean off, if you do it infrequently
Use only soft and clean cloths. NEVER use dish towels as they can contain grease.
Mild dishwashing detergents and warm water can be used through cleaning of cabinets. You can ALSO use baking soda and/or vinegar by mixing it in the water to clean cabinets as well.
Use a toothbrush dipped in the cleaner to scrub the hardware, the wood around the hardware and the crevices of ornate trim.
Always test all products on a small, non visible spot of your cabinetry before use.
Wood cabinets should be kept dry at all times.
Countertop Care
Quartz:
The hardest non-precious stone, bound together by resins. it is the most durable surface material, combining the hardness and durability of quartz with the exceptional low maintenance qualities of man-made materials.
Regular cleaning should be done with a mild soap or detergent and a soft cloth. Make sure the soap is non-bleach and non-abrasive.
Although stain resistant, Quartz countertops are not stain proof. Wipe up liquids as soon as possible. Quartz will resist stains for a short period of time, but all colored liquids should be cleaned up promptly.
A glass or surface cleaner, such as Windex, can be used for heavy or dried on stains. Use a non-abrasive sponge. For deep cleaning, spray a generous amount; leave on for ten minutes, then wipe away.
Scrape away grease, gum, and paint with a plastic putty knife. Use a degreasing cleanser, formulated for Quartz countertops, to clean off grease. Rinse away immediately.
Rinse with warm water immediately after the stain is removed.
Heavy, stuck on, hard to remove stains such as nail polish can be removed with a mixture of acetone, Ajax, and water. Dilute the Ajax to the point of minimal abrasiveness. Wipe away immediately.
Granite:
It is a purely natural stone that comes directly from stone quarries and is then cut into thin slabs, polished, and fabricated into countertopsThe natural beauty about granite is highly heat, stain, and scratch-resistant along with protection against mold and mildew.
YOU CANNOT USE VINEGAR TO CLEAN GRANITE COUNTERTOP!
Granites to be sealed twice a year atleast to keep their shine.
Make a solution of warm water and mild dish soap. Do not add more than a half tablespoon of soap. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and wring it out until just damp and wipe the countertop in small circular motions with light to medium pressure.
If you encounter bits of dried-on food, apply more pressure or dampen the cloth a little more and press down on the spot to loosen the debris, then wipe up.
You may wish to use a commercial granite cleaner. Choose one that is listed for daily cleaning and follow the package directions, but only apply with a soft cloth. Never use an abrasive scrubber.
Buff dry with a microfiber cloth.
